TRIAGE vs. Flourish
Last updated 5 October 2026 · Pricing verified directly from each provider · Reviewed by Dr. Kaelyn Petras, DVM
An honest comparison of two veterinary leadership programs, built for different problems.
Flourish builds positive-leadership skills over six months in a live cohort. TRIAGE installs a leadership system you can finish in as little as 15 hours.
Flourish applies positive psychology to veterinary leadership. It's cohort-based, coach-supported, RACE-approved for 20 hours, and led by a former practice manager and owner. It's best for leaders who want peers, a coach, and a wellbeing-forward approach to team culture.
TRIAGE is a systems-based leadership operating system built by a practicing emergency medical director. It's self-paced, role-specific, and best for clinicians promoted into leadership who need structure for accountability, role clarity, and conflict.
If you want a live cohort and a coach across six months → Flourish.
If you were handed the keys and need structure now → TRIAGE.
At a glance
Flourish's current price appears at registration. The last published figure was $1,475 (2025 cohort). TRIAGE seats drop to $900, $750, and $650 as team size grows.

Methodology: positive psychology versus operating system
Flourish builds on the science of positive leadership: wellbeing, strengths, and the behaviors that create thriving teams. You assess your current leadership skills, practice six core positive-leadership skills in class and on the floor, and finish with a personal development plan.
TRIAGE starts from a different claim: most hospitals don't have a leadership problem, they have a system problem. It installs specific patterns for how decisions get made, how conflict gets named, and how performance gets managed. You're not learning a mindset. You're installing infrastructure.
Neither is wrong. They solve different problems.
If your challenge is "I want to lead in a way that helps my team thrive," Flourish fits.
If your challenge is "I'm handed the keys, my team is leaking, and I need structure," TRIAGE fits.
Audience: cohort learners versus role under pressure
Flourish is built for leaders and managers who learn well alongside peers. The CVPM credit also makes it relevant to practice managers, and the Enterprise Academy extends it to whole veterinary networks.
TRIAGE is role-specific. It's built for medical directors, lead clinicians, nurse managers, and multi-site supervisors, with separate tracks for emergency, urgent care, multi-site, and general practice because the pressure context changes what leadership looks like day to day.
Format and time commitment
Flourish runs on a calendar. Each of its eight modules has pre-work, a 35-minute live class (recorded), an optional 25-minute Q&A, and a real-world challenge you report back to your cohort. Office hours add live discussion. For RACE credit, you also complete one group coaching session and one private coaching session.
TRIAGE has no calendar for individuals. The six modules unlock in order and you move at your own speed, in as little as 15 hours. Hospitals and teams can run it as a cohort when they're ready.
Bottom line: Flourish suits people who want accountability from a fixed schedule and a cohort. TRIAGE suits people who need to start when the fire is burning.
Pricing
Flourish listed $1,475 per participant for its 2025 cohort. Its registration page shows current pricing and mentions tiered pricing. Group rates aren't published, so ask Flourish before comparing.
TRIAGE is $1,200 for an individual, or $200 a month for six months. Teams pay $900 per seat at 3 to 5 seats, $750 at 6 to 15, and $650 at 16 to 30. At 16 or more seats, seats belong to the hospital and transfer to a replacement at no cost. For a team of six, that's $4,500 against $8,850 at the 2025 Flourish individual price.
What customers say
Flourish publishes named graduate testimonials, including leaders at NVA Canada, VetStrategy, and Encore Vet Group.
TRIAGE launched in 2026, so we don't pretend to have years of testimonials. What we have is early proof from the floor. At ARC Vets, three nursing leaders use it day to day, and Dr. David Toomey (Medical Director) says it gave him a clear structure for communication, accountability, and decision-making that holds up under pressure. Dr. Meghan Smallcomb (Emergency Veterinarian) is putting her entire leadership team through it. We'd rather show you the methodology than ask you to take our word for it: try Module 1 free, or take the free Leadership Audit.
Who each program is best for
TRIAGE is best for you if:
- You're a medical director, lead clinician, nurse manager, or new practice manager who got promoted because you were good at the clinical work
- You work in emergency, urgent care, multi-site, or high-volume general practice, where pressure context defines your day
- Other leadership training hasn't survived contact with a Tuesday night shift
- You want installable structure, not a mindset shift
- You want to lead without burning out, yourself or your team
Flourish is best for you if:
- You want a live cohort and a named coach across several months
- Wellbeing and positive psychology are the lens you want for team culture
- You need up to 12 CVPM hours as well as RACE credit
- You learn best with scheduled classes and peer accountability
When you should pick something else entirely
- VetLead, if you want a shorter, RACE and CVPM approved team rollout at $897.
- NAVC Certified Veterinary Business Leader, if you want the business side of running a hospital, with 22 CE hours at $499.
- Veterinary Leadership Institute (VLE / VLI Trek), if you want an in-person immersive reset and have a week to give it.
- Uncharted Veterinary Community, if you want low-cost, self-paced skills plus an active community.
No one program is the answer for everyone. Better to pick well than pick fast.
